This 1967 Chevy Camaro has been professionally rebuilt and upgraded into a neat custom muscle car. The car was professionally rebuilt by Dalool Performance in Nervada in the USA before being shipped to Australia.

The car was stripped back and fully repainted in LeMans Blue with white stripes. The car features a cowl induction hood, SS badging and front and rear spoilers. The chrome front and rear bumpers were both replaced during the restoration as were the tail lights and surrounds. The external look is completed with a set of Boyd Coddington wheels measuring 18” up front and 20” in the rear.

Inside the car has been completely refinished and upgraded. The front seats have extra bolster and are trimmed in black vinyl with houndstooth insert. The door trims are all new with aftermarket door handles and window cranks. For safety there is lap sash seat belts up front with another three belts in the rear. There are five Autometer Pro-Comp gauges neatly mounted in a custom panel under the dash to keep an eye on amps, vacuum, water temp, oil temp and oil pressure. There is a GT Sport aftermarket steering wheel front and centre and a Hurst manual shifter with reverse lock out pokes up front between the front seats. For tunes while cruising there is a classic look digital radio in the dash with 6 inch speakers in the kick panels and 6×9 inch speakers in the parcel shelf.

Under the bonnet is a fully built, balanced and blueprinted, 350ci Chevy V8 engine. The engine build features 12:1 comp Federal Mogul forged pistons, polished crank, Melling oil pump, Summit stage 2 connecting rods, Comp Cams hydraulic cam, Comp Cams lifters, chrome molly push rods, double valve springs and Pro-Magnum roller rockers. It also utilises a double roller timing chain, Edelbrock RPM aluminium cylinder heads, Edelbrock Air Gap intake manifold and 750cfm Holley carburettor. Spark is provided by an Accel distributer and leaks and controlled through an Accel 300+ digital ignition system. Gasses are expelled by Hooker Super Comp headers through a 3 inch exhaust system with 40 series Flowmaster mufflers. Cooling is handled by a BeCool aluminium radiator with Ice electric thermo fan.

The engine is paired to a Richmond Super T-10 four speed manual transmission with 11” Centre Force dual friction clutch and Lakewood scatter shield. An aluminium drive shaft feeds the 10 Bolt Richmond diff with Eaton Posi, 3.55 gears, Strange axles and heavy duty rear housing cover. The front end has been upgraded with 1 ½ inch drop spindles on the disc brake front end. To stiffen the handling of the car, a pair of Comp Engineering sub frame connectors were included. The rear end has been upgraded to include adjustable air shocks with remote fillers mounted in the boot.

These first generation Camaros are iconic American muscle cars and this one is a neat example with some fantastic upgrades.
