This 1966 Ford Mustang coupe has been restored and upgraded into a fun little cruiser. These Mustang coupes make fantastic classic and collector cars at an entry level price point, with lots of support for parts and accessories readily available. This car left the factory in San Jose, California on the 20th of October 1965. Believed to be a genuine GT, factory A Code car and comes with several unique options. The car has been through extensive renovations and upgrades.

The body of the car has been subjected to a refresh from the car’s original silver/blue with vinyl roof into a Metallic Pewter colour. The paintwork is of a high standard generally, but it should be noted that in the right light, there are some minor remnants of the old vinyl roof trim moulding being present around the B pillars that you likely won’t pick up in the photos. The chrome bumpers, grille and badging have all been refurbished or replaced. The taillights have been swapped out for LED replacement items. The correct GT driving lights are in the grille and exhaust runs through the rear valance which is also correct for a GT. The car sits on a set of 17” Holley Legendary wheels with new Bridgestone tyres.

Open the door and you will find a well-presented black interior optioned with a factory split bench seat and fold down centre arm rest. An unusual option, but it looks like buckets with the arm rest down and allows for another person with it folded up. In the dash, the gauges are all new Dakota digital items. To keep the tunes going there is a RetroSound Bluetooth stereo with Alpine speakers in the front doors and rear parcel shelf.

Under the bonnet is an original type 289 ci V8 engine with new Holley carburettor and electric choke. The engine is paired to a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission with a Hurst short shifter. The brakes have been rebuilt all round with the front being disc items that would be correct for a GT. The diff has been serviced with new oil, seals, and a balanced drive shaft.
