1964 Holden EH Special Sedan

HIGHLIGHTS: – High spec Special trim level – Fully restored inside and out – 186ci 6 cylinder engine – X2 twin Stromberg carb setup – 3 speed manual transmission – HR Disc brake front end

This 1964 Holden EH Special sedan has been neatly restored having just been completed. The car was purchased by the current owner as part of a deceased estate. The previous owner had begun partially restoring the car having completed the paint and body in the original Amberley Blue but two toned with a white roof. The external trim on the car is in good shape and the original front and rear bumpers have been rechromed rather than replacing them with cheap aftermarket items. The rubbers and weather stripping has all been replaced. The car sits on a set of colour matched steel wheels with original hubcaps and brand new white wall tyres.

The interior has been recovered in Blue and white vinyl. There is a three gauge pod up on the dash where the original speaker grille was that houses amps, water temp and oil pressure gauges. The factory radio is still in place but there is an aftermarket stereo mounted under the dash on the passenger side.

Under the bonnet is a fully rebuilt 186ci 6 cylinder engine that has only travelled a few hundred kms since completion. The engine features a HR Holden X2 twin Stromberg carb setup with both carbs having been rebuilt. There is also a set of Genie extractors to allow the gasses to escape quickly. The engine is paired to a 3 speed column shifted manual transmission. The front end is a HR Holden disc brake front which was recently rebuilt with new bushings, bearings, drag links and tie rod ends. The PBR VH44 brake boost has just been rebuilt. Other recent work includes a new Bosch alternator, re-cored radiator, new master cylinders, new slave cylinders and a new battery.
