This 1951 Chevy Styleline Deluxe is a cool American classic cruiser. These early 50s Chevy’s are timeless in their styling which is the reason they are often chosen by collectors and custom car builders.

The body of the car is well presented in gloss black paintwork. The paintwork does have a few imperfections but is deep gloss black and shines well. Being a deluxe model, it was top of the line and came with stainless side trim, stainless gravel guards, extra chrome on top of the guards and hood ornament. The Deluxe cars also features spats over the rear wheels and this car has been further accessorised with a visor over the windscreen, headlight visors and accessory spot lights up front. The car sits over a set of 15” steel wheels with original hubcaps and tyres with white wall ‘flapper’ inserts.

Inside the car has been neatly upgraded with all new carpets applied to the floors. The door trims and dash appear to be original items in good condition. The trim on the front and rear seats have both been replaced in a two tone grey cloth to follow the original pattern.

Under the bonnet is the original, overhead valve 216ci ‘Stovebolt’ six cyl engine. The engine is paired with a three-speed column shifted manual transmission. According to Chevy marketing material, this package delivers up to 92 horsepower to the rear wheels through the factory diff. The car still runs its original 6 volt electrical system and a new exhaust system was recently fitted to the car. The original suspension and drum brakes remain in place.

These early 50s Chevy’s are awesome classic American cruisers and this one is well presented in gloss black with its original running gear. Either cruise it as is or use as a great base to build yourself a lowrider bomb or custom sled.
