This 1936 Ford Deluxe 5 window coupe has been fully rebuilt from the ground up into a period custom hot rod. The car was built in the US to a high quality with every nut and bolt on the car touched and is detailed in the engine bay and underneath. It’s built in a period correct style for a 1960s era hot rod.

The body of the car has been removed from the chassis and any necessary repairs made before being professionally repainted in a period cream colour. There are no wild body modifications, instead opting to keep the factory lines. There is a neatly detailed pin stripe that runs the length of the side of the car with “thirty six” subtly written in it. The front and rear bumpers have been fully rechromed and there is a period grille protector up front and continental kit spare on the rear. The car has a nice hot rod style rake in its stance and sits over a set of red steel wheels with caps and dress rings that are wrapped in wide white wall tyres.

Inside the car has been completely refinished top to bottom. The floors received all new tan carpets with floor mounted shifter and aftermarket pedals. The seats, door trims, kick panels and full headliner have all been covered in Tan. There is seating for four passengers with fold up rumble seat in the back. There is a surprising amount of room in the rumble seat and all four seats include colour matched period lap belts for safety. He factory Banjo steering wheel has been fully restored and the factory gauges remain in the dash with he addition of a vintage look tacho by Omega Kustom Instruments Co. The door handles, window cranks, dash pieces and window reveal frames have all been chrome plated.

Under the bonnet lives a 8BA, 24 stud Flathead V8 engine that was fully rebuilt in 2014. The engine build included boring and honing the block .125” over with new pistons, new rings, 0.20 rod bearings, 0.20 main bearings, a Crow 82 grind camshaft, modified block for full filtered oil system, aftermarket valve spring kit, Edelbrock heads and dual carbs up top. The engine has been balanced and blueprinted. The engine is paired to a three speed manual transmission out of a 1939 model. The brakes have been upgraded to discs up front with 40 Ford rear brakes. The suspension includes tube shocks. The engine bay is all neatly painted and detailed as is the entire underside of the car.

This is one of the nicest period custom hot rods you will ever see. The car maintains its factory lines but has been upgraded in almost every way using traditional parts and has enough room for the whole family. Cars of this quality rarely become available so be sure to register and bid if you want to be cruising down the boulevard in this one.
