This 2002 Holden Monaro CV8 is a modern Aussie collector muscle car. The car comes to us as part of a large private collection and is offered at NO RESERVE. These modern Monaro’s were a great retro throw back and have developed a large collector following in recent years.

The outside of the car is finished in its original factory colour of ‘Devil’ which is a bright yellow. The body itself remains factory original with the paint in good condition for a car of its age and kms. The looks are improved thanks to lowered suspension and a set of 20” Simmons wheels with black centres and chrome lips.

The inside of the car is trimmed in the factory black leather which provides a nice contrast against the bright yellow exterior. The factory specification includes a multifunctional steering wheel, cruise control, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, remote central locking, electrically adjustable front seats with three-position driver memory, and electric windows. The stereo system has been upgraded and now features a touch screen head unit and upgraded speakers with amp and sub mounted in a separate box in the boot.

Under the bonnet sits a non-original naturally aspirated 5.7-litre ‘LS1’ V8, producing around 225kW.  The engine is paired to the factory 4L60e four speed automatic transmission. Power is fed to the rear wheels through a limited slip diff and independent rear end. This example now features an aftermarket stainless-steel cat-back exhaust system for some extra rumble. The suspension has been lowered using Pedders fully adjustable coil overs front and rear. The brakes have also been upgraded to include slotted discs front and rear.

These Monaro’s are modern Aussie classics that are nice to drive and hold solid future collector value. The car has travelled 171,788 kms from new and the sale includes the original log books. This car is offered at NO RESERVE and will sell to the highest bidder at the end of the auction.
