1970 Holden HQ Monaro GTS Sedan
HIGHLIGHTS: – One owner from new! – Factory GTS Sedan – Original books and paperwork – Matching numbers 308ci V8 engine – 4 speed manual transmission – True survivor car – Offered at NO RESERVE
This 1973 Holden HQ Monaro GTS sedan is a true, one owner, survivor car. The car is being offered for sale for the first time since it left the dealership. The car was built in Holden’s Pagewood plant in Sydney and sold new on the 25th of June, 1973. The car was finished in Glacier white with Chestnut interior and was a GTS car fitted with a 308ci V8 engine and 4 speed manual transmission.
The car has been well loved over the 49 years of ownership and driven on a daily basis. The current odometer reads 76,977 miles which the owner tells us is actually 176,977 miles. The car has always been maintained mechanically with the engine receiving a full rebuilt in December of 1989 at 95,728 miles. Cosmetically the car is unrestored, the paintwork on the car does appear to be mostly original with the odd mark here and there and there is some fading present on the GTS black outs on both the bonnet and boot lid. This gives the car a great feel of authenticity and in our opinion, compliments the car’s survivor charm. The interior is in surprisingly good shape with minor wear and tear from the years of use. There is an aftermarket stereo mounted under the dash board with the original stereo system still in place.
It is not very often you get the opportunity to purchase a genuine, matching numbers, one owner HQ GTS Sedan. This is a great honest survivor car that you can choose to enjoy the way it is or restore it. The sales includes the original hand book, owners guide and warranty card. This car is being offered at NO RESERVE!
