1969 Holden HT V8 Ute
HIGHLIGHTS: – Fully restored and tastefully modified – 383ci Chevy V8 stroker built in 2019 – Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection – Turbo 350 automatic transmission – 9 inch differential – Bare metal repaint in 2014 – 14” steel wheels with dog dish hubcaps
This 1969 Holden HT ute has been through a full rebuild with some neat upgrades. The car was sold new by Sydney Atkinson Motors in Perth in September of 1969. It is believed that the ute spent most of its life there and in 2012, underwent an extensive restoration over a 2 year period.
The body of the car was stripped back to a bare shell and completely refinished in a smokey metallic silver colour. The same colour was applied liberally around the entire engine bay, inside the tub of the car as well as the entire underside of the floors. The external look is kept subtle thanks to a set of understated 14” black steel wheels with dog dish Holden hubcaps.
The interior of the car was retrimmed at the same time in high grade vinyl. There is a wood rimmed aftermarket steering wheel front and centre and a B&M automatic shifter on the floor. The carpets and headliner were all replaced at the same time.
Under the bonnet now lives a built 383ci V8 which was built by Lismore Engine Builders in July of 2019 at a cost of $11,660. The engine was stripped, bored and honed, before being fitted with new pistons, rings, bearings, Crow camshaft, new valve springs, roller rockers, Elelbrock intake and Holley Sniper fuel injection. The engine is paired to a turbo 350, three speed automatic transmission and power is fed to the rear wheels via a nine inch diff.
This is a great street ute with some tasteful modifications. Included with the sale is the original books and owners manual from when the ute was sold new as well as the receipt for the engine rebuild.
