HIGHLIGHTS: – Oz Rod T Bucket – Custom painted in red with heavy metal flake – Custom convertible top – Ford 302ci V8 engine – C4 automatic transmission – Borg Warner diff – Four wheel disc brakes
This 1923 Ford T-bucket has been custom built into a cool looking period hot rod. The bucket was built in Queensland over a couple of years, being first registered in 1997. The basis of the build is an Oz Rods T bucket body and chassis. It has the typical T bucket look with high windscreen, open engine bay and up right steering wheel. The body and mud guards have been painted in a deep red with a heavy metallic flake. The interior is neatly trimmed in a tan vinyl with old school woodgrain dash. The removable convertible top is custom made and the rear window is a big T shape feature. The rear compartment houses an alloy fuel cell and battery. The look is finished off externally with a set of 15” Cragar wheels with white letter tyres.
Powering the rod is a 302ci Ford V8 engine with Edelbrock intake manifold and Holley carburettor. The exhaust manifolds flow into an exhaust running down the side of the car and out the back with custom heat shielding. The engine is paired to a C4 automatic transmission with quick shifter and power is fed to the rear wheels via a Borg Warner differential. The front suspension is a four bar drop axle with transverse leaf and a four link rear end with coil overs. The brakes are XA Ford discs on all four wheels.
Since completion the car has been engineer and registered in both QLD and Victoria with documentation provided with the sale. This T-Bucket is being offered at NO RESERVE so be sure to register and bid to avoid mission out!
