This 1928 Ford Model A roadster has been through a full ground up build. The rod started with an original Model A chassis which was boxed full length and had additional tubular bracing for strength. The front suspension is a Rod Tech four bar with drop axle and transverse leaf spring. The rear suspension is a now a parallel four link with panhard bar and adjustable coil overs. Steering is provided by a Saginaw manual steering box with collapsible Ididit column and Borguson joints.

The body on the car is a brand new and all steel item from Bookville in the USA. The fenders have been ditched for a classic guard less look with new stainless cycle guards fabricated and polished. The headlights are larger commercial lights and include integrated indicators. The rear lights are 39 Ford style tear drops with blue dots. There is no bonnet for that open engine bay look and the rod sits on a set of polished American Racing Salt Flat style wheels measuring 16” up front and 18” in the rear. The whole body and chassis have been coated in Candy red paintwork with the body being clear wrapped for protection.

The interior is custom trimmed in black leather. The seat itself is a custom item with bolstering to hold you in place. The dash features a full set of Classic Instruments gauges and there is a Lokar automatic shifter poking up from the floor. Front and centre is a Banyo style steering wheel with billet pedals mounted on the neatly carpeted floor. There is a small hidden stereo system with the head unit tucked under the passenger seat.

The open engine bay shows off the 351ci Cleveland V8 which is neatly dressed with a finned air cleaner and valve covers. Other goodies include an Edelbrock Air Gap manifold, Holley Carb and MSD distributer. The exhaust is custom made with dummy open headers that flow into a full exhaust. Keeping things cool is a new radiator with electric thermos fan and polished overflow tank. The engine is paired to a C4 automatic transmission and power is fed to the rear wheels through a Ford 9” differential. Pulling things up is a set of four-wheel disc brakes.

The roadster was completed in 2017 and engineered in NSW with Compliance certificate to be supplied along with the car.
