NO RESERVE! 1982 Holden VH SL Commodore Wagon

HIGHLIGHTS: – Fully rotisserie restoration – All original presentation – 202ci 6 cyl engine – Trimatic automatic transmission – Venetian blinds in rear – 14” Steel wheels with white wall tyres – Only 118,000 kms from new – Offered at NO RESERVE

This 1982 Holden VH SL Commodore Wagons would have to be one of the best examples in the country. The car underwent a full rotisserie restoration back in 2020 to factory specs.

The car was purchased from a family friend by an older retired gent who enjoys restoring cars as a hobby of his. It was a one owner, low km example at the time so a great base which he then stripped right down and restored from the ground up.

The body was completely stripped and place onto a rotisserie where any necessary repairs were undertaken. It was then completely repainted in its original beige colour with a two-tone white roof. The original SL side stripe was applied down the side. The chrome bumpers were also refinished during the resto. The car was fitted with some accessories including a roof rack and venetian blinds in the rear windows. The look is completed with a set of factory silver 14” steel wheels with dress rings and white wall tyres.

Inside the car has been completely refinished back to factory in its original Tan colour. The carpets have all been replaced and the plastics around the car present like new. The trim on the front and rear seats as well as the door trims appears to have been replaced with all new vinyl. The only modification inside is the addition of a small stereo system with cd player in the dash, speakers in the front doors and 6x9s in the rear cargo compartment.

Under the bonnet you will find an engine bay that looks like the day it left the factory. Sitting in the middle is a 202ci six cylinder engine. Even the underside of the bonnet is factory fresh in appearance. The engine is paired to the original Tri-matic automatic transmission. The diff, brakes and suspension are all rebuilt factory items. The underside of the wagon is extremely well presented in a factory style.

The restoration was completed in 2020 and has travelled very few kms since completion. You just don’t see Commodore Wagons like this restored to this level and this may well be the best example in the country. The car is being sold at NO RESERVE and will sell to the highest bidder at the end of the auction.
