This 1969 Ford Mustang has been neatly restored and tastefully upgraded into a one off custom street machine! The car was purchased by the current owner 14 years ago as a new import from California. At the time of purchase, the car was already modified by the previous owner and was running a 427ci World Products V8 engine with a 5-speed manual transmission. The car was kept this was for two years before the owner decided to pull the car down and treat it to a bare metal restoration in 2011. The drivetrain including engine, transmission, and differential are all recent upgrades to the build, being installed last year and only covering approximately 2,000 km since.

The body of the car was stripped down to bare metal in 2011 to be completely repainted. The body was found to be in extremely good condition at the time with the owner telling us he believes it still has its original quarters and floor pans in place. The car was painted by Charlie Cooker, who refinished the car in Gloss Black. The car is fitted with Mach 1 decals, front and rear spoilers as well as louvers on the rear window. The bonnet is an aftermarket item with reverse cowl and hole for the blower and injector hat to poke through. The car sits down low over a set of Billet specialties wheels measuring 15×4” up front and 15×10” in the rear.

The interior maintains its factory configuration with black upholstery. An aftermarket B&M shifter adds a sporty touch, while a full set of Autometer gauges, installed with an aftermarket facia, provide accurate monitoring of the car’s vital information. There is a small stereo system in the car with aftermarket head unit is fitted.

Under the hood resides a potent 408ci Windsor Stroker V8 engine. The engine was built by HBR Competition engines in July of 2020 and features, a stroker kit bringing displacement to 408 cubic inches, an engine girdle, Wiseco forged flat-top pistons, a full roller cam, roller lifters, aluminum heads, and shaft roller rockers. The engine is topped with an 8/71 Mooneyham blower fed by a Joe Blo Motorsport billet injector hat. Engine management is provided by a Haltech ECU with spark coming from 8 individual coil packs, a crank trigger Holley, and MSD ignition. The engine produces a 525hp at the rear hubs on a soft tune with 6 psi at 6,200rpm. According to his tuner, it is estimated that the engine could comfortably generate 700 horsepower at the hubs would up to 15 psi at 7,000rpm.

The engine is paired to a Ford C6 automatic transmission, which has been fully built by Precise Automatics and features a 3,500 stall converter, a reverse pattern, and manualized control. Power is fed to the rear wheels through a Race Products sheet metal 9-inch housing with 35-spline Dutchman axles, a Spicer center section, 3.25 Ford gears, and a True Trac Hemisphere. The front and rear suspension remain in factory configuration but have been fully rebuilt with new springs and shocks. Steering has been upgraded to a late model Borgseon power steering box with an electric power steering pump mounted under the left front guard. Chassis connectors have been installed to enhance handling stability. The brakes have been upgraded to include four wheel Wilwood disc brakes with a new Wilwood Master cylinder.

This 1969 Ford Mustang has been neatly finished and tastefully upgraded into a serious street machine. With a huge number of upgrades, this one is sure to be popular with bidders. Be sure to register and bid if you can see yourself burning down the road in this Pony.
